- The purpose of the workshop and how financial literacy and wealth maximisation are important for their future.
- Introduce the topic by asking the students to share their thoughts on what they think money is and what it means to be financially literate.
- Explain that the goal of the workshop is to teach them basic financial concepts and how to start building wealth from an early age.
Duration – 1 hour
Section 1: Understanding Money
- Explain what money is and the different forms it can take, including cash, credit, and digital currency.
- Discuss the concept of value, how it’s determined, and how it relates to money.
- Discuss the role of banks and financial institutions in managing money.
Section 2: Budgeting and Saving
- Explain the importance of budgeting and why it’s necessary to understand and manage your finances.
- Teach students how to create a basic budget by listing their income and expenses.
- Discuss the different types of savings accounts and why saving is important.
Section 3: Investing
- Explain the basic concepts of investing, including stocks, bonds, and mutual funds.
- Discuss the difference between saving and investing and why investing is important for building wealth.
- Explain the risks and rewards of investing and how to diversify investments.
