Rules

  • There should not be more than 4 participants in one team.
  • Replacement of any participant after registration would not be allowed.
  • Participants must carry College ID card and Transcendence receipt/ SMS to obtain entry.
  • Participants shall bring their own material to create and design.
  • Each team can only make one costume. [Making any one out the below 3 is mandatory:]
    • Accessory (3 pieces)
    • head gear
    • footwear
  • The costume and the accessory needs to be prepared only with waste material.
  • Costume design must represent culture of any of the international culture.
  • The costume must be practical, wearable and eco-friendly and must not exceed 5’5 feet.
  • The participant must present a justification of the design.
  • Participants are responsible for setting up their own costumes.
  • If any participant is found to have violated the rules, Manav Rachna holds the right to disqualify his/her participation.
  • Mobile phones or any other electronic devices shall not be allowed during the competition.
  • Any sort of tracing or copying is not allowed.
  • Decision of the judges shall be final and abiding.
  • The costume remains the possession of the MRCFL.
  • Innoskill holds the right to introduce any change in the rules without prior notification.
  • Time limit: 2 hours

 

Procedure

  • Introduction, briefing about rules and theme.
  • Each participant gets 2 hours to complete the costume.

 

Judgement

Judging will be based on:

    • Impact — the benefit delivered to the user and/or society by the design
    • Utility — does the design meets the intended purpose and needs of the user?
    • Ecological compatibility — potential environmental and/or ecological impact
    • Creativity — creative usage of the waste products.
    • Relevance — the costume should depict the theme of the competition.
    • Resourcefulness— the costume should only be made by waste products.
    • Presentation
    • Compliance to the rules
