Prototype development from farm to fork challege
About the event:
The Farm to Fork Prototype Development Competition aims to encourage innovative solutions that enhance sustainability, efficiency, and nutrition in the food system. This competition challenges participants to develop practical prototypes that address key issues in the farm-to-fork journey—ranging from agricultural advancements and food processing innovations to packaging, waste reduction, and sustainable consumption.
Guidelines :
- Prototype should be an innovative solution related to the farm-to-fork concept, focusing on sustainability, food safety, nutrition, or waste reduction.
- Individual as well as team submissions are allowed. A maximum of 3 participants per team is allowed. Only one entry is allowed per individual/team. Multiple entries will lead to disqualification.
- Participants must submit a detailed report (max 2 pages) explaining their prototype, including objectives, methodology, materials used, and expected impact.
- Participants must present their idea verbally in front of the judging panel (maximum 5 minutes), explaining:
- The problem they are addressing.
- How their prototype provides a solution.
- The sustainability and feasibility of their innovation.
- Prototypes should be demonstrated through a physical model or functional sample.
- Participants will bring the product already prepared with them. Only the presentation will be done at the venue.
- Winners will be decided based on innovation, feasibility, sustainability, and market potential, as judged by an expert panel.
